In the packaging world, a dieline is an artwork template that ensures that the design of your package is laid out correctly before going into production. It is a flat diagram with markings that indicate where the package's fold and cut lines are. Add your artwork to your shiny new dieline template file. Make sure to follow our Artwork Guidelines as you start designing, so we can apply the artwork to your template. These guidelines ensure that the file format and the settings of your artwork (colors, font type, font size, and images) will be ready for mass production.

If you have in-house designers, the dieline file should head straight to them to mock up your custom packaging artwork. Alternatively, if you need assistance with design, then our custom packaging specialists can do this for you - for no extra cost. Once your mocked up dieline file is completed, send this to your packaging specialist, who will then pass it on to our designers for proofing. The proof shows how your box looks when laid out flat. It also contains template lines and the measurements of each side.

Once you're happy with your template's design, our team will prepare a 2D and 3D rendering of your packaging for a final review.
